Cesenatico is Marco Pantani and everything in his city speaks of him: the museum where his memorabilia is kept, the bronze statue that reminds him, the many cycling events, for professionals and amateurs, named after him. But his myth has been created on the climbs as soon as he left the sea and you too can savor his own emotions on those same roads.

As you know, we are particularly attached to Marco. Not only because we are directly friends of the Pantani family, but because it was one of us: simple and generous, cheerful and passionate about bikes!

Marco climbed the toughest climbs as only he could do, opening the hearts of his fans. Perhaps it was due to his look: the eyes of a champion with a fragile soul. So everyone became attached to him, everyone supported Pantani: children with bicycles, adults and grandparents who loved Coppi and Bartali.

Here's what our Pantani Week consists of:

• 5 days of cycling around Cesenatico, on the roads Pantani loved
• 1 day of Festival, in honor of the greatest climber in the history of cycling
• 1 great Challenge: the Marco Pantani Granfondo

We thought that the best way to celebrate the pirate myth was not to be nostalgic. Probably even Marco would not like something too melancholy.
To remember Marco worthily you do not need a heart, but legs like steel are necessary.

Yes, because there will be a lot of cycling during the Pantani Week:

• We will ride the same streets and the same climbs where Marco used to train. Together we will make the legendary Cippo: 4.9 km with an average gradient of 13.5% and a maximum gradient of 28.5%
• We will take you to the fantastic Pantani Museum and eat Tonina's piadina, Marco's mother.
• Saturday, September 21st, the whole city will be dyed yellow to celebrate Pantani through a fantastic pre-Granfondo Festival
• Sunday 22 September will be the day of Marco Pantani Granfondo (3 routes to choose from: 73 km, 107 km and 145 km)

 In short, there will be many emotions for those who have Marco in their hearts.

And then, an incredible weekend to celebrate our beloved Marco Pantani, the Pirate of Cesenatico, the best climber in the history of cycling. Saturday 21st will be the Memorial Pantani dedicated to professionals, while on Sunday 22nd all cycling enthusiasts will be able to walk the roads of the Gran Fondo Marco Pantani.

The Memorial in the 2018 edition saw an exceptional starting line, with the teams: Sky, Barhein Merida, Movistar, Dimension Data, Bora, Italian national team, Androni Giocattoli Sidermec, Bardiani CSF, Caa Rural, CCC Sprandi Polkowicw, Delko Marseille, Gazprom, Israel Cycling Academy, Nippo Fantini, WB Aqua Protect, Wilier Triestina, Fortuneo.

For 2019, 7 World Tour, 12 Professional and 6 Continental teams have already been confirmed, for a total of 25 teams.
